DELTA AIR LINES EMPLOYEES donated more than 1,200 handmade quilts to Primary Children's Medical Center during a ceremony Tuesday at EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City. The quilts were presented to Sharon Goodrich, director of annual and corporate giving at Primary. Delta gives quilts to children whose illness or injuries require extended hospital stays. Airline employees began the quilting project seven years ago, when flight attendants converted their lounge at Salt Lake City International Airport to make the quilts between flights. Above, 3-year-old Marley Peterson runs across some of the hundreds of quilts.
